Panel of Physicians
Georgia
Georgia workers’ compensation law requires employers to maintain and prominently post a compliant Panel of Physicians so employees know where to seek care if they’re injured on the job. A quick review once a quarter can help ensure your panel stays accurate and up to date.
What a Compliant Georgia Panel Includes
Under Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 34‑9‑201 and Board Rule 201), your panel must include:
- At least six physicians (or a conformed panel of ten)
- An orthopedic surgeon
- No more than two industrial clinics
- A minority physician
- Prominent posting in the workplace (for example, near time clocks or in break areas)

Please note: while these initial panels are provided as a resource, it remains the employer’s responsibility to ensure the selected panel is accurate, properly posted, and updated as required by law.
